Bound to the forest –
The trees will never leave you,
The seasons will forever keep you—
The one bound to the deep and wondrous soul of the forest,
Treading lightly with each step.
His path must be kept,
For no one can follow the one bound to the forest.
His secret bliss turns left, then right, and onward into twilight—
Never resting, not really—only dreaming, only feeling
That one day he’ll see the end:
The end of fatigue, of all that makes him weak;
The end of his human boundaries. Each step more determined, the desire now a burden—
To stop only once he’s reached the top.
Bound to the forest, and also to his dream:
That he will reach the highest peak
And see what few have seen.
